Ms. Emelda Simbine Ribisse
About me
a Mozambican food scientist and PhD researcher in Food Science, specializing in Food Toxicology at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, supported by the OWSD PhD Fellowship. She holds a Master’s degree in Food Engineering and an MBA in Project Management from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. Her research focuses on food safety, particularly the occurrence, analytical monitoring, and mitigation of veterinary drug and antimicrobial residues in milk and dairy products. Her expertise includes analytical chemistry, LC-MS/MS method development and validation, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and the application of conventional and emerging non-thermal technologies for food safety. Her work aims to strengthen food safety surveillance and develop practical, sustainable strategies for safer dairy production systems in tropical regions.
