About me

Carolina Forero has a BA and MA in Economics from Andes University (Colombia). As a Fulbright Scholar, she completed a Master’s in Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Global Political Economy. She also has an MBA from the University of Delaware with a major in International Business. Carolina has worked as an economic research analyst, corporate manager, and international manager in financial corporations. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of an NGO that promotes environmental protection and indigenous art in the American continent. She is the founder and main leader of a non-profit initiative called Sí Puedo! (Yes, I can!) that promotes higher education and science among children and young people in Colombia. Carolina has 10+ years of experience teaching management courses, mostly online, for undergraduate and graduate business programs at various universities in Colombia and the United States. She currently works as an Instructor of Management and International Business at the University of Alabama.

Carolina has 10+ years of experience teaching management courses, mostly online, for undergraduate & graduate business programs at Southern New Hampshire University, Chatham University, and The University of Alabama. She has presented about her experience teaching online courses at the Online Learning Innovation Summit organized by the University of Alabama.

She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of a Coopdanza, an NGO based in Bogota and New York. She is the founder and main leader of a non-profit initiative called Sí Puedo! (Yes, I can!) that promotes higher education and science among children and young people in Colombia. She also works as a volunteer in the role of public relations for DeVolver ConCiencia, an initiative that connects academics, scientists, and educators with young communities in vulnerable areas of Colombia to promote education as a viable option to achieve big dreams. She is also a public speaker on topics such as higher education, science, leadership, and self-motivation.
