About me

Dr. B. Kanisha began her career as a Computer Science educator and researcher, accumulating over 22 years of teaching and research experience. She joined SRM Institute of Science and Technology as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computing Technologies.
Her expertise lies in Fintech,Artificial Intelligence, Speech Processing, and Machine Learning, where she has made significant contributions through industry-driven research collaborations. As the Industry-Academia Project Coordinator for Apollo Tyres R & D Global Asia Pvt Ltd, she has facilitated cutting-edge research and technology integration between academia and industry. Additionally, she has worked on research projects for Samsung Research Institute, contributing to advancements in speech processing and intelligent systems. She has published extensively in IEEE, Springer, and Scopus-indexed journals and has also filed patents in cybersecurity and sensor fusion for driver behavior detection.
A committed mentor and research supervisor, she has played a key role in advancing speech processing technologies and guiding scholars in cutting-edge research. She also leads FUTURIX, the Student Association of the Department of Computing Technologies, organizing hackathons, ideathons, and industry collaborations to provide students with hands-on research and internship opportunities.
