About me
Dean of the Institute of Applied Statistics “ISTA” at the University of Burundi from January 4, 2022, to the present. Associate Professor in Fundamental Mathematics and Applications at the University of Burundi, she is the ambassador in Burundi for the International Mathematical Union for women in mathematics. She was Vice Dean of ISTA from June 2019 to January 3, 2022. She is Secretary of the Educational Council of the Doctoral School at the University of Burundi.
She is the Vice President of the Inter-African Research Group in Geometrical Analysis and Applications (GIRAGA) for Central, West, and East Africa. She is an Ambassador of the International Mathematical Union . She is a member of the regional network group for Africa 'ARN.' She is a member of the Steering Committee of the World Federation of Scientific Workers (FMTS). She is the Team Leader of Women in Sage in Africa 'Women In Sage in Africa/Burundi. She is the President of the Organization for Women in Science in Burundi 'OWSD-Burundi National Chapter. She is Secretary of the Educational Council of the Doctoral School, University of Burundi. She is a trainer in leadership and andragogy, and a trainer in business project development and management at AUF Burundi. She is a member of the Gender Unit at the University of Burundi. She has organized many awareness workshops, coaching, and mentoring sessions for high school girls who graduated from the post-primary cycle in the provinces, aimed at encouraging them to pursue scientific, engineering, technological, promising, and/or innovative fields. She is the Vice Treasurer of the Alumni and Staff Association of Lycée MUSEMA “RUVOVOTA.” She is a member of the monitoring and evaluation committee for the activities of the Main Tendue aux Enfants Démunis “MTED” Association. Her teaching and research activities focus on mathematics and its applications, as well as applied statistics. She is passionate about outreach activities for high school students, mentoring activities, and organizing international scientific conferences. She supervises undergraduate, Master's, and PhD students.
