M.Sc Dissertation Project : (Duration : One Semester) Project Title: "Influence of Antiestrogen on TGF beta in Breast Cancer" Under the guidance of Dr. Heena Dave at Institute of Science, Nirma University,Ahmedabad. Brief Description: The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of antiestrogen (Tamoxifen and its metabolite) on Transforming Growth Factor beta (TGF β) in breast cancer cell line. The ability of antiestrogen to induce TGF-beta in breast cancer cells may be useful to the emergence of drug resistance. So that TGF-beta can be used as Immunotherapeutic drug and as a biomarker. Training: Summer Internship (Duration: One month) Title: "Introduction to Cancer Cell Culturing and Flow Cytometer" Under the Supervision of Dr. Rahul Purwar, at the Bioscience and Bioengineering Department, IIT Bombay. Brief Description: I have received hands-on training and exposure to the overall Research laboratory and its various aspects, starting from the selection of the antibody to handling the Flow cytometer. I have worked on cancer cell lines and have learned to culture MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, HeLa cells, and SH-SY-5Y cells. Moreover, I received Flow cytometer (FACSuite—BD Bioscience) training and did exercises on Histograms and Dot plots using Human Blood Samples. Gold medalist
