Laboratory Manager and chemist with expertise in analytical chemistry and ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems. Experienced in laboratory quality assurance, method validation, and regulatory compliance, with a strong commitment to advancing scientific excellence and supporting women in STEM.
I am a Laboratory Manager at Chemical Testing Laboratory in Sri Lanka Standards Institution with an academic background in Chemistry, holding a BSc (Special) Degree and an M.Phil in Chemistry. My professional work is centered on analytical chemistry, laboratory quality management systems, and regulatory compliance, with extensive experience in ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards.
I have been actively involved in laboratory operations, including method validation and verification, internal audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. My role focuses on ensuring the reliability and accuracy of analytical results while maintaining compliance with national and international standards. I am particularly interested in strengthening laboratory systems to support industry, environmental monitoring, and public health.
As a scientist from a developing country, I recognize the importance of building strong scientific capacity and promoting access to quality research infrastructure. I am committed to contributing to the scientific community through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and mentoring, especially to encourage and empower women pursuing careers in science.
My long-term goal is to further advance my research capabilities and contribute to impactful scientific solutions while supporting initiatives that enhance the participation and leadership of women in STEM fields.

As an Administrative Specialist have 10 years’ experience in handling various Administrative & Management work.
As a Training Specialist have developed and conducted training in Organizational Management, Strategic Development, Conflict & Crisis Management, Method Validation & Verification and Uncertainty Measurements for Chemical Analysis for various Institutions.
As an Evaluation Specialist, I evaluated Mid Term and Annual Evaluations for several Government Projects like Gemidiriya, Gamaneguma as well as Other INGOs and NGOs.
