About me

I am a staff member at the Department of Dairy Science of the National Research Centre, Egypt. I completed my Ph.D. in Zootechnics at Poznan University of Life Sciences in Poland, one of the leading life sciences universities in Poland, where my research and pedagogical endeavors have primarily centered on productive animal science, with a particular emphasis on ruminant nutrition and management, feed evaluation, product quality, and greenhouse gas mitigation strategies. Following the attainment of my Ph.D., I engaged in several postdoctoral experiences, including a scientific visit to the University of Milan, Italy, in January 2022, and a position as a postdoctoral fellow at Ghent University, Belgium, from May to November 2022. In February 2024, I was honored to receive the Georg Forster Research Fellowship for experienced researchers contributing to sustainable development from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany, which will support my research efforts for 18 months at Leipzig University. My research portfolio encompasses participation in over 15 projects across Egypt, Poland, and Germany, comprising 11 roles as a team member and 5 as the principal investigator. These collaborative efforts have resulted in the publication of more than 25 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. Furthermore, I am an active member of various professional societies in Egypt. In 2018, I co-founded the Egyptian Society of Ruminant Nutrition with the mission of advancing the discipline on a national level. Additionally, I contribute to the scientific community by serving as an editor and reviewer for several academic journals.
