About me

Short Bio – OWSD

I am Nabaa Mohammed Alsiraj, an Iraqi medical physicist and PhD researcher at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), specializing in radiotherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery. I developed the Nabaa Efficiency Index (NEI), an innovative mathematical model for evaluating radiotherapy treatment quality. I am also the author of Physics in Practice: Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and an inventor with an Iraqi patent application for a neurosurgical instrument. As a recipient of the 2026 MEFOMP Young Scientist Award, I am passionate about scientific innovation, international collaboration, and empowering women in science.

I am Nabaa Mohammed Alsiraj, an Iraqi medical physicist and PhD researcher at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), specializing in radiation oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, and medical physics innovation.

I developed the Nabaa Efficiency Index (NEI), a novel mathematical framework for evaluating radiotherapy treatment quality and dosimetric efficiency. I am also the author of Physics in Practice: Gamma Knife Radiosurgery – Evolution, Clinical Practice, and Dosimetry and the inventor of an innovative neurosurgical instrument system with an accepted Iraqi patent application (IQ/00240307).

As a recipient of the 2026 MEFOMP Young Scientist Award, I am committed to advancing scientific innovation, international research collaboration, and empowering women in science, particularly in developing countries.
