Nathaly Paulette Varela Benavides is an Ecuadorian researcher and PhD candidate in Business Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Business Taxation. Her research focuses on strategic human capital management, particularly the integration of professional development, career planning, and internal mobility as organizational mechanisms for talent retention. Her academic interests include organizational strategy, human capital development, and evidence-based management. She combines academic research with professional experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management, seeking to generate practical solutions that contribute to sustainable organizational development and strengthen management practices in Latin America.

Alongside her academic career, Nathaly has extensive professional experience in accounting, taxation, financial management, auditing support, and organizational consulting across the private sector. She has led projects related to financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and process improvement, combining technical expertise with strategic decision-making.

Her research interests include strategic human resource management, organizational behavior, leadership, talent development, evidence-based management, and organizational sustainability. Through her doctoral research, she seeks to develop innovative management models that strengthen organizations by aligning human capital strategies with employee growth and long-term organizational performance.
