About me

I am an anthropologist and political scientist with a PhD in Social Sciences Research from FLACSO-México, a Master’s in Political Studies from IEPRI-Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a Master’s in Applied Statistics from Universidad del Norte - Colombia. My work combines anthropology, political science, and statistical methods to examine the governance of rural property, political dynamics, and social transformations in Latin America. I specialize in qualitative, quantitative, and computational approaches, applying them to both academic research and applied projects at national and international levels.

I am an anthropologist by training, with a Bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and my academic trajectory has been guided by a sustained interest in the relationships between land, power, and society. I hold a Master’s in Political Studies from IEPRI-Universidad Nacional de Colombia, a Master’s in Applied Statistics from Universidad del Norte, and a PhD in Social Sciences Research with a specialization in Political Science from FLACSO-México.

My research focuses on the intersections of anthropology and political science, particularly in relation to rural property, governance, and inequality in Latin America. I combine ethnographic perspectives with political theory and institutional analysis, supported by advanced training in statistical and computational methods, to examine the complex dynamics that shape land tenure, peasant livelihoods, and rural elites. This interdisciplinary approach allows me to address social and political transformations with methodological rigor, bridging the qualitative traditions of anthropology with the quantitative and computational tools of the social sciences.

Over the years, I have developed experience in both academic and applied research, contributing to projects with national institutions and international collaborations. My work seeks not only to analyze rural property and political dynamics in depth, but also to inform debates on governance, development, and social justice.
