About me
Molecular biologist with an M.Phil in Molecular Biology and experience in molecular diagnostics. Focused on advancing human health through translational genomics and contributing to scientific education and knowledge sharing.
I am a molecular biologist with an M.Phil in Molecular Biology, specializing in molecular diagnostics and translational genomics. During my M.Phil, I focused on studying the genetic basis of asthma predisposition in the Punjabi population, analyzing single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II genes using techniques such as Sanger sequencing, capillary electrophoresis, single base extension, and qPCR.
I have hands-on experience in molecular diagnostics laboratories, performing diagnosis of bacterial and viral infections as well as chromosomal and genetic mutations using PCR, FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization), and next-generation sequencing (NGS). My work bridges laboratory research with clinical applications, with a strong interest in translational genomics and improving human health.
I am a molecular biologist with an M.Phil in Molecular Biology and expertise in molecular diagnostics, genomics, and translational research. I perform diagnosis of bacterial and viral infections as well as chromosomal and genetic mutations using PCR, FISH, and NGS. I am passionate about advancing human health and contributing to scientific education.
I am passionate about contributing to scientific knowledge and education, and I actively seek opportunities to apply my research skills to advance biomedical science and personalized medicine.
