About me
Ratih Pangestuti is a researcher in marine biotechnology specializing in the development of functional materials from marine organisms for food and health applications. She earned her PhD in 2012 from Pukyong National University and an MSc in Biomedical and Life Sciences from the University of Glasgow (2009). Her research integrates Indonesia’s marine biodiversity with green technology approaches, including environmentally friendly, non-conventional extraction and sustainable synthesis strategies. She has developed various prototypes, such as algae-based functional foods and bioactive marine-derived materials, supporting the advancement of a sustainable bioindustry.
