About me

Assist. Prof. Dr. Rawshan Othman Ali (born 20 May 1988, Erbil, Iraq) is an Iraqi–Kurdish academic and researcher in hydraulic engineering, hydrology, and water resources management. She is currently the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Raparin, Kurdistan Region, Iraq.

She holds a PhD in Hydraulic Engineering from China Three Gorges University (2020), an MSc in Civil Hydraulic and Hydrology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2013), and a BSc in Geology from Salahaddin University (2009). Her research focuses on water resources sustainability, rainfall and flow trend analysis, groundwater studies, dam safety, and artificial intelligence applications in hydrology.

Dr. Rawshan has supervised one PhD and two MSc students, received Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarships (2018, 2019), and actively participates in international conferences, scientific committees, and research evaluation boards. She is fluent in Kurdish and English, with working knowledge of Arabic and Chinese.
