About me
I am lecturer at the Department of Chemistry and Material Science, Technical University of Kenya. Currently, I have a PhD student at Muhimbili University of Health & Allied Sciences. I have MSc (Chemistry) and BSc (Mathematics and Chemistry) from Kenyatta University. My research interest are Phytochemistry, Organic synthesis and Medicinal chemistry
Ruth Omole is a lecturer of organic chemistry at the School of Chemistry and Material Science at the Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya. Ruth is also in-charge of organizing postgraduate seminars and presentations at the school. Ruth obtained her Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from Muhimbili University of Health & Allied Sciences, Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania (2015-2019). In addition, Ruth holds MSc. (Chemistry) and BSc. (Chemistry and Mathematics) from Kenyatta University Nairobi, Kenya. Ruth is a phytochemist with specific interest on natural products, organic synthesis, and medicinal chemistry. The focus of research being isolation of bioactive compounds with anticancer, antimalarial and antidiabetic activities. Also, a member of Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), American Chemical Society (ACS) and Natural Products Research Network for East & Central Africa (NAPRECA).
