Dr. Saima Jafri is a distinguished Assistant Professor of English Language Teaching and Linguistics, renowned for transformative leadership, educational innovation, and gender advocacy. She is a social scientist whose research interests focus on the public sphere. Her expertise lies in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, and Gender and Communication Studies. She is a prolific researcher with a focus on empowering women, storytelling curriculum design, assessment, digital literacy, and gender dynamics in ESL. Her current research focuses on the social, political, and communicative aspects of social media, women’s empowerment, and democracy.
Dr. Jafri completed the IVLP program in the USA in 2022, focused on enhancing expertise in social media dynamics, with a particular emphasis on fostering a secure and responsible digital environment., In the USA, she explored innovative strategies and best practices for effective social media management. She has been awarded the prestigious Aspiring Leaders Fellowship for Developing Female Leadership in Higher Education by Michigan State University in Partnership with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for the academic year 2023-24. This fellowship underscores her commitment to advancing female leadership within the higher education sector, aligning with her broader dedication to fostering inclusivity and empowerment in academia.
