About me

I am an agronomist, Quality Assurance Specialist, and SDGs Ambassador with experience in food safety, post-harvest management, and sustainable agriculture. My work focuses on food security, climate resilience, and empowering women and youth in agrifood systems through advocacy, leadership, and capacity-building initiatives.

I am an agronomist, Quality Assurance Specialist, and SDGs Ambassador with over nine years of experience across agriculture, food safety, and sustainable development. My academic background in Plant Pathology provided me with strong technical expertise in crop protection, post-harvest management, and integrated pest management, which I have applied in both private sector and development-oriented roles.

Professionally, I have worked in quality control and quality assurance within agricultural and food companies, where I was responsible for monitoring production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, conducting audits, and reducing quality-related losses. This hands-on experience exposed me to systemic inefficiencies in food systems, particularly post-harvest losses and unequal access to knowledge and resources—challenges that disproportionately affect smallholder farmers and women.

Alongside my technical career, I have actively engaged in leadership, policy, and advocacy initiatives related to food security, climate resilience, and sustainable agrifood systems. I have participated in international programmes and certifications covering climate action, biosaline agriculture, the water–energy–food nexus, entrepreneurship, and agripreneurship. These experiences strengthened my ability to translate technical knowledge into scalable, impact-driven projects.

A central focus of my work is empowering young people and women in agriculture through mentorship, capacity building, and advocacy. I contribute to initiatives that support leadership development, inclusive policy dialogue, and climate-smart agricultural practices. My long-term goal is to design and lead interventions that reduce post-harvest losses, strengthen food security, and promote equitable participation in agrifood systems, particularly in climate-vulnerable contexts.
