About me

I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg, South Africa.
Ethiopian, born and raised in Addis Ababa.

I am a PhD candidate at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, funded through the Pan African Planetary Science Network (PAPSSN) mobility scholarship, awarded after completing my MSc in Space Physics at Addis Ababa University. My doctoral research focuses on indirect searches for dark matter in the radio regime, using the MeerKAT radio interferometer and the upcoming SKA. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Senior Lab Assistant at Addis Ababa University, where I taught undergraduate physics labs alongside my MSc studies.
