Prof. Dr. Tansel COMOGLU

Tansel Comoglu graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1991 and later earned her M.Sc. degree in Pharmaceutical Technology with a thesis on "Development of drug formulations using the spray-drying method." In 2002, she completed her Ph.D., focusing on "Ketoprofen-loaded microsponge modified release tablet formulations and in-vitro in-vivo investigations." In 2010, she became an assistant professor and was promoted to the position of Associate Professor in 2011.
Comoglu received a post-doctoral research support grant from TUBITAK and conducted research on "Physics of tabletting" at Tromso University in Norway in 2005. In 2012, she was awarded a scholarship from the Council of Higher Education in Turkey and conducted research on "Temsirolimus-loaded sterically stabilized micelles as a potential nanomedicine for renal cell carcinoma" at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In 2017, she became a full professor of pharmaceutical technology at Ankara University. Comoglu has served on the editorial boards of "Pharmaceutical Development and Technology" since 2012 and "AAPS Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology Journal" since 2015. She has authored over 60 scientific articles and 7 international book chapters, with more than 800 citations. In 2008, she received the Novartis Project Award. In 2021, Tansel Comoglu was honored with the prestigious "Best Doctoral Thesis Award" from the Turkish Council of Higher Education. Additionally, in 2022, she achieved recognition by receiving the "2nd National Industry-Focused R&D and Innovation Project Competition Award."
