About me
I am a data scientist with over eight years of experience in developing ML & AI driven solutions, primarily in the retail domain. I hold an MSc in Computer Science specialized in Data Science (UOM) and a BSc (Special) in Statistics (USJ). My work focuses on designing scalable optimization and forecasting algorithms, including a high-performing replenishment planning system now used as a core product in my organization. I am passionate about applying artificial intelligence to solve real-world challenges and advancing women’s participation in data science and technology.

I hold an MSc in Computer Science, specialized in Data Science, from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, where I focused on machine learning, statistics, and algorithmic model development, as well as a BSc (Special) in Statistics from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, which strengthened my analytical foundation.
Throughout my career, I have designed and implemented high-performing machine learning algorithms and optimization models that have significantly improved decision-making processes in real-world business contexts. One of my key achievements includes developing a production-grade replenishment planning algorithm from scratch, a solution that became a core product component in my organization.
My scientific interests revolve around leveraging technology and artificial intelligence to create intelligent, scalable systems that solve complex, data-driven problems. I am deeply passionate about advancing the presence of women in data science and contributing to the growing field of AI research and innovation in developing regions.
