About me
Winfrida is assistant lecturer, researcher and nutritional epidemiologist and consultant focused on area of public health, health systems, health policy analysis, maternal and child health, determinants of health and diseases, human nutrition, agriculture, human health and climate change, project management, mental health and gender and development and HIV/AIDS analysis.
I am a public health expert working as assistant lecturer, researcher and nutritional epidemiologist. In addition, I have been working as consultant focused on area of public health, health systems, health policy analysis, maternal and child health, determinants of health and diseases, human nutrition, project management, mental health and gender and HIV/AIDS analysis.
I have over fourteen years of experience in conducting research, coordination of nutrition issues, program development, supervision community health and nutrition service providers and gender focal person in Tanzania. I have also involved in development and amendment of strategies, plan and framework in collaboration with Prime Minister Officer-Local Government Authorities. I have competence, experience, skills and expertise in teaching, conducting public health research, mentoring ect.
I have been working with International and local NGOs including FunguoWomen Tanzania, Global Partnership Development Foundation (GPDF), Ifakara Health Institute, SWISSAID-Tanzania and World Vision Tanzania.
With two master's degrees in Msc. Public Health Research and Master of Project Management I have shaped my expertise which has enabled me to publish in reputable journals published by Springer and Wiley online. Besides that, I am also interested in the utilization of interdisciplinary research and project management to address community challenges through application of principles and knowledge.
I am committed to team building, action oriented and a problem solver with strong communication and time management skills. I am always seeking a challenging environment to improve my academic and professional skills.
