About me
Dr W.A. Bapolisi obtained a bachelor's degree in general medicine, Surgery, and Delivery from the Catholic University of Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). She also earned a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Basel and Swiss Tropical and Public Health in Switzerland. Her research interests include child, newborn, and maternal health, reproductive health and infectious diseases, community engagement, and sociocultural determinants of health, including gender factors. She worked on gender-transformative projects evaluating program implementation. She worked as a Research Coordinator for Mpox research, including a clinical trial. She published multiple papers in international Journals. She mentors undergraduates and postgraduates and serves as a lecturer in Bukavu, DRC.
