Prof. Dr. Yasira Naeem Pasha, a globally recognized academic leader and scholar, serves as Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Planning, and Civil Engineering at Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), where she has advocated innovation in architectural education and research. Holding a Research Affiliate position at University College London UK for her Post- Docorate and a Ph.D. in Architecture, she has contributed extensively to interdisciplinary research, bridging architectural theory, design pedagogy, and practical applications. Her research work at Cambridge University, UK; Middle East Technical University, Turkey; Oxford University, UK; and Nottingham Trent University, UK includes valuable collaborations, to name a few.
Dr. Yasira Pasha holds the distinction of being the first female and Youngest Professor in Architecture, Youngest Dean, as well as Chairperson of any Department of Architecture and Planning in Pakistan. She is also distinctive in holding the first Ph.D. in Architecture from the prestigious NED University of Engineering and Technology since its inception. Dr. Pasha has published widely in national and international journals and has been recognized as a reviewer for architectural discourse internationally. Associated with education in Architecture for the last more than two decades, she has initiated several academic ventures and contributed to academic excellence at several forums. She was awarded the faculty excellence Award by Institute of Architects, Pakistan for her well-deserved recognition reflecting her commitment to academic excellence, dedication to nurturing young minds, and the intellectual depth brought to architectural education, strengthening the culture of inquiry and critical thinking in architectural education.
