The Brazil National Chapter of OWSD was established in April 2020 and is based at the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) in Rio de Janeiro. OWSD Brazil seeks to unite and empower women scientists nationwide by fostering collaboration, expanding a national database, promoting science communication and public engagement, inspiring youth—especially girls—to pursue scientific careers, and strengthening international cooperation among women in science from developing countries.
