Alice Nwanyioma Ohuoba (PhD). A mother, Research Scientist working with National Root Crops Research Institute Umudike Abia State Nigeria. An indigene of Abia State, Nigeria. Research field is Food Chemist. Researching ways of reducing pre and post-harvest losses of root and tuber crops food/value chain. Developing these losses/wastes into value added products. Implication for healthy food security and its sustainability. Food –value chain community’s development networking.

Job Description,
Participating in research projects in the area of food chemistry and biotechnology exploring postharvest quality of root and tuber Crops. Developing new value- added products of root and tuber crops. Particular reference to sweet potato, yam and cassava, researching ways of adding value and improving on existing one. Publishing the outcomes of the research in peer review journals, technical press as well as presenting results at conferences and to stakeholders. Developing and maintaining active collaborative contacts with the relevant units in the institution.
Alice Nwanyioma Ohuoba (PhD) had more than fifty (50) academic paper which are made of journal articles, book chapters and readings, conference proceedings etc.
