Dr. Jeannine Bonilla
About me
Agroindustrial Engineer with a Master’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Food Management and Safety, and a PhD in Food Science and Technology. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of São Paulo, Brazil (FZEA-USP), and from 2020 to February 2022, served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Engineering at FZEA-USP.
Currently, I am a Researcher at the Packaging and Biomaterials Lab in the Department of Food Science, University of Guelph, Canada, ON, where I develop innovative, functional, and sustainable packaging solutions to enhance food preservation and improve packaging performance. My work has been recognized globally, and I was included among the top 2% of most-cited scientists worldwide in 2021.
