About me

I am a health researcher with a doctorate in Biotechnology (joint program INDICASAT AIP–Acharya Nagarjuna University) and postdoctoral experience at Michigan State University. My work focuses on microbial ecology and microbiomes associated with human health, integrating molecular biology techniques (culture, DNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, 16S/ITS sequencing) with bioinformatics analysis and multi-omics approaches (metagenomics and metabolomics). I currently work at the Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies (ICGES), in the Department of Genomics and Proteomics, where I develop and support projects focused on surveillance and public health, as well as managing and writing scientific proposals for funding.
