Cintia Belén Contreras (Córdoba, 16/08/1987) Chemistry Sciences PhD by National University of Córdoba. She is an Associate Research from CONICET and Associated Professor from ECyT-UNSAM. She is leading the Smart Hybrid Nanosystems group at Nanosystem Institute. Dr. Contreras has developed the tools to carry out the production of smart nanomaterials, which can encode the properties in the local composition, the morphology and the coexistence of "functional domains" and which can be defined as regions of the material with well-defined composition and proposals.
Cintia Belén Contreras (Córdoba, 16/08/1987) Chemistry Sciences PhD by National University of Córdoba. She is an Assistant Research from CONICET and Associated Professor from ECyT-UNSAM. She is working at Nanosystem Institute, her research focused on the design and synthesis tailor made of smart hybrid nanosystem. She did postdoctoral visit stay at Cornell University and Georg-August-University Göttingenat. Her work was honored by prizes as Merck-CONICET award to innovation in health science 2022, frontiers in nanobiotechnology 2022, CICYTAC 2014 and SAM-CONAMET 2013. Besides, she awarded fellowships by the Fulbright Program and the American Chemical Society. She has published 15 papers, has presented 64 posters and 6 conferences talk in scientific meetings. She is working as director three degree and three doctoral theses.
Her career has provided her with the tools of colloidal chemistry, surface modification, polymer synthesis, and formation of various hybrid nanomaterials. Dr. Contreras has the knowledge and has developed the tools to carry out the production of smart nanomaterials, which are capable of encoding the properties in the local composition, the morphology and the coexistence of "functional domains" and which can be defined as regions of the material with well-defined composition and proposals.
