About me
Dr Daisy Cárate Tandalla is a passionate ecologist, botanist and biodiversity specialist committed to advancing our understanding of life’s complexity and safeguarding ecosystems. With a PhD in Ecology and Biological Diversity, she has cultivated deep expertise in botany, tropical ecology and climate change research. Based at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, Daisy now leads projects focused on the biodiversity and functional ecology of highly diverse montane ecosystems, leveraging interdisciplinary methods. Her research is also based on a vision of social justice and climate justice, recognising that protecting biodiversity must go hand in hand with equity and the well-being of human communities
