About me

As a beneficiary of the OWSD Fellowship 2016, I am a Molecular Biologist with interests in Translational Research and Global Health.

I completed my PhD at Rhodes University, South Africa in 2020. With a focus on drug discovery and development, I have conducted investigations on the identification of repurposed and novel agents for breast cancer therapy as well as target-based cross-sensitivity of chemo-resistant neuroblastoma cells to better understand tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution among other extant considerations for personalized medicine. I have an interest in identifying novel agents for important target proteins that promote tumour aggressiveness and see how the discoveries translate to the bedside.
