About me
Biotechnology graduate with a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Pharmacopoeia, and a background in Life and Earth Sciences. My research interests focus on medicinal plants, antimicrobial activity, and natural product-based therapeutic development. I am passionate about contributing to innovative and accessible health solutions through scientific research.
I hold a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Pharmacopoeia, with a background in Life and Earth Sciences and Applications. I am also currently pursuing a university certificate in Phytopharmacy and Phytomedicine, strengthening my expertise in medicinal plants and natural therapeutic approaches.
My academic and research experience is centered on medicinal plants, their antimicrobial properties, and natural product-based therapeutic development.
During my Master’s research, I worked on Herpes Zoster (zona), focusing on the medicinal plant Hoslundia opposita traditionally used in Benin. I evaluated its antimicrobial activity and healing potential, contributing to the scientific validation of traditional medicinal knowledge.
I am particularly interested in the exploration of biodiversity for health applications, especially in the development of plant-based solutions against infectious diseases. My research interests also extend to antimicrobial resistance and the formulation of natural products such as ointments and soaps for skin-related conditions.
My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in biotechnology or health sciences, focusing on medicinal plants, drug discovery, and antimicrobial research. Through OWSD, I aim to strengthen my research skills, engage in international scientific collaboration, and access opportunities for advanced training and funding.
