About me

I am Dr. Obuka Esther Njideka, a native of Achi in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Meteorology, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).
My career in education spans several years, beginning with eight years of teaching in secondary schools before transitioning into university teaching and research. This experience has strengthened my passion for mentoring students and contributing to the development of future scholars.
I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geography and Meteorology, with specialization in Environmental Management and Water Pollution. My research interests include environmental management, water pollution, climate change, sustainable development, and natural resource management.
Over the past ten years, I have published more than 31 scholarly articles in reputable national and international journals. I have also supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and I remain committed to advancing scientific knowledge through research, teaching, mentorship, and community engagement. My goal is to contribute to evidence-based solutions that address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development.
