About me
I am Professor Fatimah S. Sanni (nee Ibrahim), Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Abuja, where I attained the rank of Professor in 2021. I hold a B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Maiduguri and an M.Sc. from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. My career spans over two decades of teaching, research, and academic service, including as Acting Head of the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry and current Chair of the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals for Research. I am married with four children and passionate about mentoring the next generation of scientists.
I am Professor Fatimah S. Sanni, nee Ibrahim, a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Abuja. I hold a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Maiduguri, an M.Sc. from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Maiduguri. I began my academic journey in 2002 at the University of Maiduguri and later joined the University of Abuja, where I attained the rank of Professor in 2021. My research and teaching focus on biochemistry, and I have published widely in both national and international journals. I have served in various administrative capacities, including as Acting Head of the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, and as a member of accreditation teams for university programmes. I currently chair the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals for Research. I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and have supervised several student projects. I am married with four children and passionate about mentoring the next generation of scientists.
