Miss Grace Olagunju
About me
I am a PhD student in Neurobiology and Molecular Biology, focusing on the comparative analysis of lipids in glial cells. My research investigates molecular mechanisms in glial biology with potential implications for understanding glioblastoma and other neurological disorders. I hold a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences from New Mexico State University. I am passionate about advancing biomedical research and contributing to scientific development in the world.
Grace Valentine Olagunju is a molecular biologist and Ph.D. student at New Mexico State University, with a strong background in lipidomics, glial cell biology, and high-throughput sequencing. She holds an M.Sc. in Molecular Biology (2025) and a B.Sc. with distinction from the University of Abuja, Nigeria. Her research focuses on comparative lipidomic analysis of glial and glioma cell lines, integrating mass spectrometry, fluorescence imaging, and quantitative data analysis. Grace has presented her work at major conferences, published peer-reviewed research in oncology and computational biology journals, and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for PLOS ONE and Springer Nature. She is an active science leader and advocate, holding multiple graduate leadership roles and receiving numerous awards for academic excellence, research, and service.
