About me
Hanan Arahmane is a physicist specializing in nuclear instrumentation and the experimental analysis of ionizing radiation. She currently works at the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives (CEA) in France, where she develops advanced statistical and machine learning methods to improve radiation detection and characterization. Her research integrates gamma and neutron spectrometry, Monte Carlo simulations, and deep learning techniques for signal analysis and classification. In addition to her research activities, she lectures at the French National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN). She has authored numerous international publications, holds patents in AI-driven nuclear data analysis, and currently supervises PhD students on radiation detection, data-driven modeling of inorganic scintillators, and intelligent environmental radiation monitoring. Hanan is an active member of professional organizations including OWSD, APS, WiN, and the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society.
Dr. Arahmane currently works at the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique et aux Énergies Alternatives (CEA) in France, where she develops advanced statistical and AI-driven methods to enhance radiation detection and characterization. Her work focuses on radiation detection, data-driven modeling of inorganic scintillators, and intelligent approaches for environmental radiation monitoring. In addition, she lectures at the French National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN).
She earned her PhD in Nuclear Physics and Instrumentation in 2019 from Mohammed V University, Morocco.
Dr. Arahmane has authored numerous international publications, holds patents in Bayesian and advanced machine learning methods applied to nuclear data, and has extensive experience in university teaching and doctoral supervision. She supervises PhD students on radiation detection, data-driven modeling of inorganic scintillators, and intelligent environmental radiation monitoring.
She is an active member of professional organizations including OWSD, the American Physical Society (APS), Women in Nuclear Global (WiN), and the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society. Her work bridges experimental nuclear physics, data analysis, and the application of advanced computational and machine learning methods for radiation measurement and characterization.
