The OWSD Morocco National Chapter was established in November 2020 and is hosted at the organization Al Sahm Women in Casablanca. The chapter’s main goal is to increase and promote women’s participation in science and technology professions, in scientific leadership and in decision-making process at the national level. They do this through science-based activities that address national concerns, working with all levels of society, strengthening science to meet needs of sustainable development (food security, water security, gender equity), developing strategies to mobilize financial and human resources towards achieving OWSD objectives, and providing networking opportunities for women in science and technology.
