Dr. Jesubori Sojobi is a Mechanical and Biomedical Engineer, researcher and lecturer dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovative biomaterials and regenerative medicine. She recently completed her PhD in Mechanical Engineering, where her research focused on the development of electrospun nanocomposite scaffolds for wound healing applications. Her work combines biomaterials engineering, nanotechnology, tissue engineering and advanced manufacturing to develop multifunctional materials capable of improving tissue regeneration and addressing unmet clinical needs.
Her broader research interests include intelligent biomaterials, electrospun nanofibers, controlled drug delivery, regenerative medicine, biomedical devices and the application of artificial intelligence to biomaterials design and optimization. She is particularly passionate about developing affordable and accessible healthcare technologies that can improve patient outcomes in low- and middle-income countries, where access to advanced wound care remains limited.
As a lecturer and mentor, Dr. Sojobi is committed to nurturing the next generation of engineers and scientists by fostering critical thinking, innovation and interdisciplinary research. She actively encourages young people, particularly women, to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), believing that diverse perspectives are essential to solving global health challenges.
Beyond her academic work, she is the Founder of The 360 Global, an innovation and education platform that promotes research, entrepreneurship, technology and community development. Through this initiative, she seeks to bridge the gap between scientific research and real-world impact by supporting students, researchers and innovators in transforming ideas into practical solutions.
Dr. Sojobi's long-term vision is to establish an internationally recognised research programme focused on engineering intelligent regenerative biomaterials that accelerate healing, reduce healthcare disparities and improve quality of life. Through collaborative research, capacity building and scientific leadership, she aspires to contribute to the advancement of biomedical engineering and strengthen research and innovation ecosystems across Africa and beyond.
