Sra María Antonella Juárez

I am a Nutritionist and a Master's student in Social Sciences at the National University of La Plata, Argentina. My academic and professional trajectory has progressively developed at the intersection of nutrition, health and the social sciences.
Throughout my professional experience, I have worked in nutrition, community-based programmes, project coordination and administrative management. I have also contributed to interdisciplinary research projects related to social capital, inequality and health, providing technical and professional support to research activities.
My current academic interests focus on understanding the relationships between poverty, food and nutrition, health inequalities, and the social and territorial conditions that shape people's opportunities to achieve adequate health and nutrition. Through my Master's studies, I am expanding my interdisciplinary perspective by integrating approaches from the social sciences with my background in nutrition.
My research interests include food security, malnutrition, social inequalities, territorial disparities and the social determinants of health. I am particularly interested in contributing to research that addresses complex social and health challenges in Argentina and other developing contexts, while strengthening interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to knowledge production.
