About me

Kankindi Janviere is an Assistant Lecturer in Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Technology at INES-Ruhengeri University, Rwanda, where she has been teaching and conducting research since 2017. With over 8 years of experience in medical biochemistry and laboratory sciences, she holds a Master of Science in Medical Biochemistry from Periyar University, India, and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Lovely Professional University, Punjab.

Kankindi specializes in clinical laboratory diagnostics, biochemical analysis, and medical education. Her research focuses on oxidative stress markers, non-communicable diseases, parasitic infections, and medicinal plants. She has published several peer-reviewed articles, including notable work on COVID-19 oxidative stress markers published in PLOS Global Public Health and research on rheumatoid arthritis risk factors.
As an educator, she teaches Medical Biochemistry, Chemical Pathology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Cell Biology & Genetics, while mentoring undergraduate students in dissertation research. She is actively involved in professional organizations including the Rwanda Association of Medical Laboratory Professionals and serves as an academic reviewer for medicinal plants journals.
Born in Rwanda and fluent in Kinyarwanda, English, French, and Swahili, Kankindi is committed to advancing medical education and contributing to public health research in Rwanda and East Africa.
