The OWSD network continued to expand this year, with the launch of three new National Chapters in Mauritius, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka.

On 23 March, the Rwandan Association of Women in Science and Engineering (RAWISE), together with the OWSD Secretariat, celebrated the launch of the Rwanda OWSD National Chapter in Kigali.

TWAS 27th Annual Meeting is being hosted this year in Kigali, Rwanda, and at the opening ceremony today prize winners received praise from Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
