About me

I am a biologist specializing in plastic and microplastic pollution, integrating scientific research with community engagement to understand impacts on human well-being and aquatic ecosystems. My experience includes water quality monitoring, laboratory analysis, and the use of Local Ecological Knowledge (LEK) and citizen science approaches. I am committed to generating actionable knowledge and fostering collaboration between scientists and communities to address the plastic pollution crisis.

I am a biologist with experience in environmental research, focusing on plastic and microplastic pollution and its impacts on human well-being and aquatic ecosystems. My work integrates science and community engagement, using Local Ecological Knowledge (LEK) to assess how microplastics affect human populations and to inform environmental management.

I have participated in technical and scientific projects related to water quality and plastic and microplastic pollution at monitoring stations, combining laboratory analysis with citizen science strategies. My experience includes sampling across various matrices such as water, sediments, and aquatic organisms.

I am motivated by generating knowledge that can be applied to sustainable solutions and by promoting collaboration between scientists and communities to address the plastic pollution crisis.
