About me
Honduran architect and urban planner. I focus on urban development, water, education, cultural heritage, and science outreach.
Liliana Ninoska Núñez García, M.Sc. I am a Honduran architect and urban planner with a Master’s degree in Urban Design and Planning (Magna Cum Laude) from Universidad José Cecilio del Valle. My expertise covers sustainable urban development, territorial planning, water management, and cultural heritage conservation.
I currently serve as a postgraduate lecturer and research group coordinator at Universidad José Cecilio del Valle. I am also Vocal II of the National Executive Committee of OWSD UNESCO–Honduras (2024–2026), and I have organized two national symposia for OWSD Honduras. Additionally, I am a founding member and secretary of the Municipal Museum of Dulce Nombre, Copán.
My training includes construction, transparency in infrastructure, coffee quality and soil management, and higher education pedagogy (UPNFM). I have collaborated on projects to promote children’s engagement in science, and I have led community initiatives for educational donations in partnership with OWSD Honduras and Rotary Club.
I have worked directly with indigenous communities in Honduras, including the Lenca people of Santa Ana, Francisco Morazán, on potable water projects, and the Miskito people of Puerto Lempira on emergency hospital architecture in response to Hurricanes Eta and Iota, in a project financed by the WHO and PAHO.
As an independent professional, I consult on urban planning, sustainable tourism, and water and sanitation projects, while also supporting local entrepreneurship and women’s participation. I have collaborated with international organizations such as the Andalusian Agency for International Cooperation and the Honduran Institute of Anthropology and History on heritage restoration and urban master plans.
Beyond academia and consulting, I am an entrepreneur and creative designer. I develop multidisciplinary projects that merge architecture, culture, education, and innovation. I remain committed to sustainable development, gender equity in science, and empowering communities in Honduras and Latin America.
