About me
I am a graduate of geography with interest in the field of GIS,climatology, urban heat stress and environmental studies. I have undergone several GIS courses using the ArcGIs and QGIS software. I also have a project management certification from google.
I have had the opportunity to hold several leadership positions throughout the course of my learning and professional career. I was the treasurer of the National Association of Geography Students (NAGS) KASU chapter for two years in a row. I was also the sales director for the election committee of NAGS in 2021, plus I was the class representative during my final year in the university. I have also attended a leadership training workshop organized by the Kaduna State Students Union.I’m also a member African women in GIS (AWIGIS). I am currently doing my PhD in Geography at Kaduna state university.

I was born on 10th March 1995, a female, a Nigerian citizen from Kaduna North Local Government Area, Kaduna State. I am single and speaks Hausa, Arabic, and English fluently.
Professionally, I served as a Geography Teacher at Kulliyatul Banat (Girl's College) from 2024 to 2025, completed my NYSC with the Federal Mortgage Bank Training School (2023-2024), undertook SIWES internships at KADGIS and GEODETRICKS in 2021, and worked as a Class Teacher at Al-Iman Schools Kaduna from 2013 to 2017. My academic qualifications include a PhD in Geography (In-View), an MSc in Geography from Kaduna State University with Distinction (4.92 CGPA) obtained in 2025, an NYSC certificate (2024), a B.Sc. in Geography from Kaduna State University with Second Class Upper (4.05 CGPA) in 2023, WASSCE from Hampos International School (2012), and a First School Leaving Certificate from LEA Primary School Rigachikun (2006).
I have three publications to my credit, including a Q1 journal article in Hydrological Sciences Journal on rainfall variability over the Niger Delta, and two papers on rainfall and temperature trend analysis in Kaduna published in Science World Journal and FUDMA Journal of Science. I holds certifications in Geographic Information Systems from UC Davis (2023), Google Project Management (2023), Microsoft Office Suite (2023), and attendance certificates from Team 2020 Helpers. She attended the 60th annual conference of the Association of Nigerian Geographers (2019) and several scholarly events, including serving as a Resource Person in Basic GIS Training at Yahaya Hub/Geodetrics (2025), a Workshop on Gender and Leadership in Higher Education (2024), KASU GIS Days (2023, 2020), an online GIS Training program from Central University of Karnataka (2020), and a Leadership Training Workshop by Kaduna State Students Union (2021). My honours include a Certificate of Honour from the Muslim Corpers' Association of Nigeria (2023), Treasurer of the National Association of Geography Students KASU Chapter (2020-2022), Sales Director for NAGS CTC/IELCOM (2021), Merit Award as Class Representative (2021/22), Award of Excellence as Best Female Geography Student (2021/22), and Student Entrepreneur of the Year (Female) by Kaduna State Student Union KASU (2022).
