Prof. Marian Unachukwu is a seasoned academician, with area of specialization in Microbiology, parasitology. She is currently the Deputy Provost of Godfrey Okoye University College of Medicine and dean faculty of Health and Allied Sciences of the same institution. She strongly believes in women empowerment. She initiated Organisation for women in Science in GOUNI and president of many women organisation in Nigeria.
