Dr. Marion Brunck
About me
Marion Brunck received her PhD and postdoctoral training at The University of Queensland, Australia, in 2015. She established her research group in Mexico at Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2017, focusing on two main axes of human immunology: neutrophil biology and innate immune regulation, and the immunological landscape of human breastmilk and its impact on infant health. In 2025, she joined the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas at UNAM in Mexico City. She has published 31 research papers, supervised 3 PhD and 7 Master’s students, and currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Mexican Society of Immunology, Co-Chair of the IUIS Junior Community, and host of the Society for Mucosal Immunology podcast. She was recognized as an IUIS 2025 Rising Star.
