About me

Bioengineer with Master's degrees in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, and in Higher Education, as well as a specialization in Microbiology. I currently serve as Head of the Bioengineering in Natural Resources Department and professor at the Bolivian Private University (UPB). I have experience in research, development of biotechnology projects, and teaching in the areas of Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, and Bioengineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I was also the coordinator and tutor of the iGEM Bolivia team, promoting innovation, scientific training, and technological development. My work is focused on strengthening education, research, and the application of biotechnology to contribute to sustainable development in Bolivia.

I am a Bioengineer with a Master's degree in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, a Master's degree in Higher Education, and a specialization in Microbiology. I have furthered my training with specialized courses in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Synthetic Biology, and other related fields, which has allowed me to consolidate a solid academic and scientific foundation. I have experience in developing research projects and applying microorganisms in diverse biotechnological, environmental, and educational contexts.
Currently, I serve as Head of the Bioengineering in Natural Resources Department and a professor at the Bolivian Private University (UPB), where I lead academic processes aimed at training professionals capable of responding to current scientific and technological challenges. I also teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas related to Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Microbiology, and Bioengineering, promoting innovative teaching methodologies focused on research, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
I have advanced studies in English and proficiency in specialized software, statistical packages, and digital tools applied to education and research. My interest in integrating new technologies into educational processes has allowed me to contribute to strengthening higher education and developing innovative learning experiences.
I was the regional coordinator and tutor for the iGEM Bolivia team, and I have led research, innovation, and science outreach initiatives in the field of Synthetic Biology, promoting student participation in international projects. Furthermore, my active involvement in programs such as Conecta Mentora and Mujeres TICs reflects my commitment to developing new talent, promoting science and technology, and strengthening the participation of young people and women in STEM fields.
I believe it is essential to continue improving the quality of education, research, and innovation in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, which is why I maintain ongoing professional development and continuous training. My goal is to contribute to the scientific, technological, and social development of Bolivia by generating knowledge, training highly skilled professionals, and promoting innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges of our time.
