About me
Mercy Chinyere Nweke was born in Ikom, Cross River State, Nigeria. She began her educational journey at St. Patrick's Nursery School and obtained her First School Leaving Certificate from Asu Egbe Primary School in 2007. She subsequently attended Holy Child Secondary School, Ikom, where she obtained her Senior Secondary School Certificate.
Driven by a passion for science, Mercy gained admission into the University of Calabar, where she earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Marine Chemistry. Her growing interest in teaching and educational development inspired her transition into the field of education. She obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and later earned a Master's degree in Science Education.
Currently, Mercy is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Science Education with specialization in Chemistry. Her research interests include chemistry education, innovative instructional strategies, environmental literacy, science curriculum development, and improving students' academic achievement and retention in science subjects.
Mercy is passionate about advancing science education through research, teaching, and the promotion of sustainable learning practices that contribute to national development.
