About me
A Guatemalan sociologist with a PhD in Health Sciences working on Sociology, Bias and Stigma, Conflict and Qualitative Research.
Doctor in Health Sciences from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). My work focuses on the analysis of weight stigma and bias, as well as barriers to the exercise of sexual and reproductive rights.
Throughout my professional career, I have served in roles such as:
-Evaluator and consultant specialising in conflict transformation and peacebuilding,
-Researcher in public policy for access to health services and violence prevention, with an emphasis on gender-based violence and the rights of women and girls,
-Public official in the design of intersectoral strategies with an equity, justice, and security access framework.
Among my core competencies is project management in multicultural environments, where I have led the development of intercultural communication networks to create and implement initiatives at both the community and institutional levels.
My work integrates academic rigour with practical applicability, prioritising the articulation between institutional actors and civil society.
