About me
I am a Research Officer and Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Botany and Traditional Medicine at the Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plants Studies (IMPM), under the aegis of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation. My research primarily focuses on the valuation and conservation of plant biodiversity, botany, ecology, and traditional medicine. I have co-authored around twenty publications and hold a patent. Alongside my research, I supervise graduate and postgraduate students and serve as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Bertoua (Cameroon).
Dr. Ndjib Rosette Christelle is a Cameroonian researcher specializing in botany, ethnopharmacology, and drug discovery, with a focus on the valorization of medicinal plants. She holds a PhD in Ecology, Biodiversity, and Environment from the University of Douala, where her research examined the ethnobotanical and pharmacological properties of plants used in the treatment of vaginal infections.
She currently serves as Deputy Head of the Botany and Traditional Medicine Laboratory at the Institute for Medical Research and Studies of Medicinal Plants (IMPM) in Yaoundé and is also a lecturer in plant biology at the University of Bertoua. Her work combines ethnobotanical surveys, phytochemical analysis, and biological activity screening to promote plant-based therapeutic solutions.
Dr. Ndjib has contributed to numerous scientific publications and is co-inventor of a patented pharmaceutical composition derived from medicinal plants. She is actively involved in research leadership, capacity building, and the training of students and traditional health practitioners across Cameroon and beyond.
