Dr. Vivian Chizoma Njemanze is an Associate Professor of Sociology whose research promotes gender equity, institutional transformation, and inclusive development across Africa.
Dr. Vivian Chizoma Njemanze is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Nigeria, renowned for her expertise in Institutional Analysis, Gender, and Work Studies. She serves as the African Regional Representative on the Research Committee 32 (Women, Gender, and Society) of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Educational Services.
Dr. Njemanze earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Port Harcourt and an M.Sc. in Industrial Sociology and Personnel Management from Imo State University, Owerri. She also holds professional certificates in Gender, Youth Employment and Social Inclusion, and in Social Protection and the Care Economy from IDEP and UN Women.
Her research and publications advance knowledge on gender, work and health, institutional systems, SMEs, and African cultural and death studies. She is committed to strengthening gender equity and inclusive development through collaborative research across Africa.
