Dr. (Mrs.) Nneka Maris Chidiebere-Mark is an Agricultural Economist with bias in Agricultural Finance, Farm Management and Production Economics. She holds a B. Agric in Agricultural Economics, Extension and Rural Development from Imo State University, Owerri (2003), an M.Sc and Ph.D degree in Agricultural Economics from Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2011 and 2018 respectively. Her research focus is in Risk management in agriculture, Climate adaptation strategies, Farm management and production economics, Value chain analysis, and Food systems.
Presently, Dr. Mrs. Chidiebere-Mark is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Extension and Rural Development, Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria where she has worked since October, 2011. She is well published with over 51 Journal articles and books to her credit, both internationally and locally. She has presented papers at conferences both locally and internationally. She is a two time recipient of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign affairs Orange Knowledge Programme scholarship which enabled her to attend short courses at the Wageningen University and Research (WUR), Netherlands Wageningen University, Netherlands; 'Food systems for healthier and sustainable diets' (2023) and Resilient and sustainable food systems for a food secure future (2022) . She is also a scholarship awardee of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) on Advancing Gender Equality and Women Empowerment in Africa: Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Training Programme, 4th December, 2023– 29th February, 2024.
She is also a Co-researcher in the TETFund IBR grant on ‘Investigation of the risk management services available to smallholder farmers in Southeast Nigeria’ (2019, Completed), and ‘The impact and economics of differently processed yellow cocoyam corm meal (xanthosoma sagittifolium) on the performance and blood indices of broiler turkey poults and rabbits’ (2021, Completed).
Dr Chidiebere-Mark is a Professional Member of the Agricultural Economics Society, UK, Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists, Farm Management Association of Nigeria, Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WOCAN), Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA), and a host of others.

Dr Chidiebere-Mark is a Professional Member of the Agricultural Economics Society, UK, Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists, Farm Management Association of Nigeria, Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WOCAN), Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA), and a host of others. She has vast experience in consultancy services. She served as a Consultant to the Imo State Government (2023) in the development of the Imo State Development Plan [2024-2034]. Some of her consultancy experiences include; Resource person to Imo State University Outreach and Consultancy Services, on ‘Pest Management Services (2017); Research assistant on the research on ‘Status of Climate Smart Agriculture in Nigeria, Cameroun and Democratic Republic of Congo’ for the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) in 2015; Field Supervisor in a FADAMA Project on adoption rate of Technologies in Fadama III in Imo state, (April, 2013).
